A Product Sourcing and Development Company based in the Cornubia Industrial Precinct north of Durban is looking for an experienced Replenishment Inventory Buyer and Brand Assistant. The role requires experience in at least two of the following three areas:
Import Purchasing
- Procurement Planning
- National Sales Manager Assistant

The duties include, but are not limited to:

- Communicating with both local and international suppliers
- Analysing historic sales data to plan and purchase products and maintain a 95% in stock position
- Develop and implement buying systems to maintain optimum stock levels and minimise out-of-stocks
- Work with colleagues to co-ordinate and consolidate multi-supplier import shipments
- Raise purchase orders in Sage Evolution
- Assist with the product development and inventory management of all in-house brands
- Manage the introduction and planning of new products including packaging requirements, sales forecasting, product costings and pricing
- Work closely with the website team to ensure that stock availability is maximised and online product ranges are managed effectively
- Work closely with the National Sales Manager in:

- Assisting with all matters pertaining to product introductions
- Being responsible for all sales administrative and system processes
- Attending to customer queries

Experience required:

- Two to three years sourcing and purchasing of products. Preferably from China.
- Exposure to Sage or similar ERP systems
- Exposure to printing and packaging development - (preferable)
- Full competency in the use of Microsoft Office (particularly Excel)
- Knowledge of shipping Incoterms, customs - (preferable)
- Exposure to the FMCG retail environment - (preferable)
