**Job Description**:
Contracts Supervisor
- Awesome opportunity to join a leading Supply Chain team._

Position Purpose: The Contracts Supervisor will be responsible for managing the contract/SLA between CHEP and the appointed Sub
- Contractors, monitoring Health and Safety, Quality, Raw Material usages and facilities.

**Responsibilities**:
People and Safety
- Promote and drive a culture of Zero Harm
- Drive Safety Differently initiative
- Ensure compliance of all staff with regards to safe working practices and PPE adherence.
- Share and drive the safety strategies across outsourced CHEP plants.
- Responsible to ensure that all service providers and contractors complies to all SEMP and Environmental statutory requirements.
- Recruit, motivate and develop subordinates and ensure a succession plan is in place.
- Ensures that good communications and sound relationships are maintained with all service providers and contractors.

Cost and Metrics
- Develop, implement and manage processes to drive efficiencies and cost reductions.
- Managing plant costs.
- Report on all Plant KPI’s and compile monthly reports.

Stock Management
- Responsible for the overall asset management and control of all hire stock movements and monitoring of third-party raw material usages.
- Highlight and communicate areas of risk and manage variances to ensure the prevention of any stock losses.
- Participates in regular stock audits, supervises all quarterly and annual stock-count audits and resolves queries.
- Ensures that the service centre is adequately stocked with hire equipment in line with Logistics planning (3 days safety stock).
- Ensures that service provider maintains sufficient stock levels of all raw materials to meet customer requirements and escalate non-conformances.

Quality
- Ensure all quality standards are shared and adhered to.
- Develop and implement quality systems to ensure customer quality standards are met.
- Conducts quality audits and analyse the data to ensure corrective action is taken for poor quality and/or over-repair.
- Follow up and resolve all customer complaints and implements solutions with third party to maintain corrective actions.
- Monitor and control Scrapping procedures and timber recovery program
- Drive EWT program
- Ensure compliance to GMP and implement corrective actions.
- Inbound raw material Quality assurance.

3rd Party Service Providers
- Manage and assist 3rd Party Service Providers through Service Level Agreement stipulations and requirements. (SLA’s)
- Effectively develop 3rd party relationships with a continuous focus on reducing costs through cooperative initiatives and amicable business negotiations.
- Ensure 3rd party compliance to all CHEP Operational SLA’s as well as statuary requirements which includes the LRA, BCEA, EE, and OHSACT.

Operational Systems
- Ensures that all legal and statutory requirements (such as labour legislation) as well as Company policies and procedures applicable to the Operations function are implemented and complied with by all staff.
- Ensures efficient and effective operating methods (i.e. for inspection, repair, manufacture, etc.) are developed and maintained to achieve productivity, quality and cost targets.
- Drive FDE compliance
- Manage Zero to landfill solutions and total waste compliance.
- Drive Express lanes and reduce overall Truck turnaround times.
- Manage IPPC treatment and Pallet sales
- Yard control and truck flows

Plant and Property Maintenance
- Agree with third party service provider areas in the plant that require maintenance in conjunction with third party and collectively agree on a preventative maintenance plan within allocated budget.
- Ensure that all electrical and mechanical equipment are operating in strict accordance with Government and Company Rules and Regulations

**Qualifications**:
Essential Qualifications

National Diploma in Operations / Production Management

Supervisory Development Program certificate

Supply Chain Management certificate

Desirable Qualifications

Six Sigma Green Belt Certified

Experience

7 to 10 Years Production Management experience in an out
