Tyre Fitter

**Position Overview**:The fitter is responsible for tyre repairs and any workshop duties

**Responsibilities**:

- Complete puncture repairs on **truck and passenger tyres**:

- Fit truck and passenger tyres
- Complete on site and workshop **breakdowns**:

- Assist with packing of received stock
- Assist with retread packing
- Assist drivers with the **loading of vehicles** as and when required
- Ensure that the workshop, work bays and yard is kept clean at all times
- Clean the tools and compressors
- Ensure that torque wrenches are turned out after use
- Ensure all jacks have hydraulic fluid
- Complete the torque wrench register after every breakdown
- Assist with the loading and off-loading of containers
- Ensure that tyres are branded
- Ensure that each tyre is checked before it is sent back to the customer

**Previous experience is required**

**Job Types**: Permanent, Full-time

**Salary**: R34,75 per hour

**Experience**:

- truck, earthmover and agricultural tyres: 1 year (required)
- puncture repairs on truck, earthmover and agricultural tyres: 2 years (required)
- Fit truck, earthmover and agricultural tyres: 2 years (required)
