KAD Creations is seeking a talented and experienced Documentary Director to join our team for a six-week documentary project based in Cape Town. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic production company on a compelling and impactful project.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conceptualize and develop the creative vision for the documentary project.
- Collaborate closely with producers, cinematographers, editors, and other crew members to ensure the successful execution of the project.
- Conduct research, interviews, and location scouting to gather content for the documentary.
- Direct and guide on-screen talent to achieve authentic and compelling performances.
- Oversee the filming process, ensuring that shots are captured according to the project's artistic vision and technical requirements.
- Work closely with the editing team to shape the narrative and structure of the documentary.
- Ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Documentary Director, with a strong portfolio of previous work.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Proficiency in all aspects of documentary filmmaking, including storytelling, cinematography, and editing.
- Strong creative vision and the ability to think critically and problem-solve creatively.
- Knowledge of Cape Town and its cultural landscape is preferred.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
