Our client is looking for - a machine operator who is required to operate and maintain a production line. The operator is required to manufacture product to the required specifications as detailed out on the Works Order.

**The operator will be required to lead his/ her team**:

- to ensure quality of product is achieved,
- to ensure safe working of the team,
- to lead their team in terms of adherence to the Code of Conduct
- to ensure team carries out all relevant duties,
- to ensure all policies and procedures are followed by the team,
- to ensure upkeep of machines,
- to lead their team in terms of adherence to the Code of Conduct
- and to operate machines efficiently.
- Operator must be able to communicate effectively and provide feedback / reports on tasks carried out.

**Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Follow production line up as provided by the Production Planner.
- Setup production line as per requirements stipulated on the works order.
- Check quality of product and make relevant adjustments on the production line as required.
- Constantly keep checking quality of product meets requirements.
- Manage the stock requirements of the Works Order, this will entail issuing of raw material, receipting of finished product, and accounting for waste.
- Capture required data for the job.
- Proactively prepare next job to reduce setup time.
- Constantly work to minimize waste, setup time and to maximize efficiency / performance.
- Identify, investigate issues online and problem solve these issues.
- Effectively communicate / report issues and deviations to your supervisor.
- Meet targets set out by the business. Form part of the solution by providing insight on why targets are not being met.
- Implement solution as required.
- Collaborate with quality control, ink supplier, services, and other staff for effective production of work while minimizing waste and lost time.

**General**:

- Excellent time management skills and ensure to adhere to times stipulated on the Employee contract.
- Ensure you are neat and tidy and conduct yourself in a professional manner with all stakeholders.
- Adhere to all policies set out by the company and follow all processes and procedures of the company.
- Must have excellent communication skills, problem solving skills and conflict management skills.
- Ensure product meets all required standards.
- Ensure effective use of equipment.
- Ensure record keeping of all key documents and ensure paper trail is always maintained.
- Ensure the working area is neat, tidy and safe at all times.
