Senior Draughtsman

**Minimum requirements for the role**:

- A relevant qualification in Mechanical Design or a related qualification is essential for this role.
- Must have relevant experience in mechanical design and draughting.
- Previous draughting experience for the mining / process plant markets is preferred.
- Previous experience with structural steel and plate work, draughting thickeners will be an advantage.
- Must have inventor and AUTOCAD 3D drawing experience in mining process equipment.
- Must be computer literate with basic Excel experience.
- Must have advanced AUTOCAD 3D and inventor experience.
- Must have excellent verbal communications skills and must be attention to detail.
- Designing required mining process equipment for various projects the company is working on.
- Following drawing office and quality procedures in execution of work.
- Working strictly according to deadlines as agreed with the project manager.
- Liaising with suppliers, clients and sub-contractors from time to time.
- Communicating effectively with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors on a variety of different projects.
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with suppliers, clients and sub-contractors.
- Developing detailed designs and specifications of products.
- Modifying and revising existing designs to correct operating deficiencies.
- Laying out the drawings of products and manufacturing tooling to optimise manufacturing processes.
- Working directly with senior management to visualise the conceptual products.
- Developing detailed drawings of products for product development discussions.
- Assisting senior management with the products and mould design.
- Assisting the maintenance department with the updating of the drawings.
