**Job Summary**:
The Product Specialist at Diopoint is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the products and services sold by the company. This includes evaluating, approving, or declining new products and services, as well as maintaining a comprehensive understanding of the existing product portfolio. The Product Specialist will collaborate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and distributors to stay updated on new offerings and product discontinuations. Additionally, this role will ensure that all necessary requirements for reselling relevant products and services are met, including training, resources, and certifications. The Product Specialist will handle various responsibilities, such as managing rebates, providing internal system training, coordinating re-registrations, and ensuring OEM compliance.

**Responsibilities**:
**Product Evaluation**: Evaluate and assess new products and services proposed for sale by Diopoint. Determine their alignment with the company's objectives, market demand, and profitability. Approve or decline new offerings based on comprehensive analysis and business requirements.

**Product Portfolio Management**: Serve as the custodian of all products and services sold by Diopoint. Maintain a thorough understanding of the existing product portfolio, including features, benefits, and competitive advantages. Stay updated on product lifecycle stages, such as new releases, upgrades, and end-of-life announcements.

**OEM and Distributor Engagement**: Proactively engage with OEMs and distributors to gather information on new products and services. Build strong relationships with key contacts to stay informed about industry trends, technological advancements, and upcoming product launches. Identify potential partnerships and collaborate on joint marketing initiatives.

**Reseller Requirements**:Identify and fulfill all requirements necessary for Diopoint to effectively resell the relevant products and services. This includes assessing training needs, coordinating with internal teams to allocate appropriate resources, and ensuring compliance with certifications, licensing, or other regulatory obligations.

**Product Management**:Oversee all aspects of the products and services sold by Diopoint. Monitor and manage rebate programs, negotiate favorable terms with suppliers, and optimize pricing strategies to maximize profitability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Sales, Marketing, and Operations, to ensure smooth product launches and ongoing support.

**Internal Training and System Support**: Provide internal training to sales and support teams regarding the features, benefits, and usage of the products and services. Ensure that employees have a comprehensive understanding of the offerings to effectively communicate with customers. Offer system support and address any product-related inquiries or issues that arise internally.

**Re-registrations and Compliance**:Manage the process of re-registering products or services to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and licensing requirements. Stay updated on industry regulations and guidelines and ensure that Diopoint's offerings align with the necessary compliance measures. Liaise with OEMs and regulatory bodies as needed.

**Qualifications, Skills and Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proven experience in product management, product evaluation, or a similar role
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
- Strong understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with OEMs, distributors, and internal stakeholders
- Familiarity with reseller requirements, certifications, and licensing processes
- Proficient in project management and multitasking
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards in the industry
