**Main purpose of position**
Currently we are looking for an IT Coordinator in Cape Town, South Africa to be part of our global team working together towards our vision - Improving our future. Perform a variety of simple and complex information technology coordinating, troubleshooting and analytical duties to ensure smooth delivery of IT services. Coordinates, assists, and trains end users to operate computer hardware, software, and peripherals within Scatec.

**Main responsibilities**
- IT support to Install, configure, and maintain IT equipment
- Create user accounts in various Scatec systems and Assign licenses and permissions
- Set up computers for new users and provide technology training to new users
- Contact person for IT related issues in Cape Town and Scatec plant sites
- Engage with users and end sure high-level delivery of IT service to all in Scatec
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support to Scatec users
- Setup, config and maintenance of printers and multifunction machines
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, connection, printer, and software issues reported
- Negotiate and follow-up agreements with local vendors
- Ensure tickets are created and followed up on ITSM system
- Handle hardware failure and warranty claims
- Monitor the Scatec’s IT Infrastructure environment
- Ensure compliant use of IT equipment (i.e., mobile phones, laptops, conferencing rooms)
- Maintain IT service support best practices and follow the necessary security regulations

**Qualifications and competencies**
- Diploma in IT or related field (Information Technology, Systems Support, Communication Networks)
- A+ and N+ or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), AZURE Foundation preferred, ITIL® 4 and COBIT® 5 certification required
- Minimum of 5 - 7 years’ experience in a similar position with1st & 2nd Line support experience
- Able to conduct research into IT operations and security issues and products as required
- Experience of working on projects that have involved the introduction of new ways of working / processes / methodologies into a business
- IT Admin - Ensure thorough in-depth knowledge of IT policies and procedures
- Create user guides where necessary and provide training on IT Systems
- Maintain IT service support best practices and follow the necessary security regulations
- Recommend IT equipment upgrades for optimal performance to the management
- Deploy and maintain the Video conferencing solutions
- Manage mobile subscriptions in South Africa
- Thorough knowledge of Cloud Technologies (Azure, Office 365)
- IT Security (Firewalls, software services and security policy)

**Additional information**:

- Should be available and accustomed to travel both domestically and internationally to 3rd world countries
- Must be able to work in an open plan environment
- Must be able to work extended hours when required
- Business Savvy and an Influencer in being able to demonstrate credibility and responding convincingly to challenges
