**Job Summary**:
The Crane Specialist will play a critical role in managing the maintenance and operations of cranes within the organization's oil and gas facilities. This position requires a highly skilled individual with extensive knowledge and experience in crane maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair. The Crane Specialist will work diligently to minimize downtime, ensuring that all cranes are operating efficiently and safely. This is a challenging yet rewarding position that offers the opportunity to contribute to the smooth functioning of the organization& operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Crane Maintenance Management**:_

Oversee and manage the maintenance activities for all cranes within the organization, ensuring adherence to safety standards, manufacturer guidelines, and industry regulations.
- **Preventive Maintenance**:_

Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for cranes to minimize downtime and enhance their lifespan. Conduct routine inspections, lubrication, and adjustments to identify and address potential issues proactively.
- **Repairs and Troubleshooting**:_

Diagnose and troubleshoot crane malfunctions, including electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues. Coordinate and perform necessary repairs promptly, either independently or by engaging external service providers when required.
- **Safety Compliance**:_

Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during crane operations and maintenance. Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:_

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspection reports, maintenance schedules, repair logs, and spare parts inventory. Generate timely reports on crane performance, maintenance costs, and downtime, providing recommendations for improvement.
- **Training and Knowledge Sharing**:_

Provide training and guidance to crane operators and maintenance personnel, promoting safe and efficient crane operation. Stay updated with industry advancements, new technologies, and best practices related to crane maintenance and share knowledge with the team.
- **Spare Parts and Inventory Management**:_

Collaborate with procurement and inventory teams to ensure an adequate supply of spare parts, tools, and equipment required for crane maintenance. Monitor inventory levels, identify critical components, and initiate purchase orders as necessary.
- **Vendor Management**:_

Develop and maintain strong relationships with external service providers, crane manufacturers, and suppliers. Coordinate and supervise the work of external contractors when needed, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and quality standards.
- **Continuous Improvement**:_

Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and efficiency improvement in crane maintenance. Propose and implement innovative solutions to enhance crane performance, reliability, and safety.
- **Emergency Response**:_

Respond promptly and effectively to any crane-related emergencies, coordinating actions with relevant stakeholders to mitigate risks and ensure the safety of personnel and assets.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a relevant field is preferred.
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in maintaining and troubleshooting cranes, preferably within the oil and gas industry.
- In-depth knowledge of different types of cranes, including mobile, overhead, and tower cranes, as well as their associated mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices related to crane operations and maintenance.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, diagrams, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify, analyse, and resolve complex crane-related issues.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and contractors.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision as well as in a team environment.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or similar software is an asset
