**Job Purpose**:
To prepare materials for construction groups, including providing accurate assessments of service
cable length and materials required for services.

**Key Responsibility Areas**:
Visiting sites and determining the optimum route for overhead and underground service
connections.
Liaising with in-house staff, customers and site inspectors regarding queries and the
negotiation of meter or ready-board position.
Determining the number and position of additional overhead service support poles.
Accurately assessing the length of service cable and other materials required for new service
connections and change overs.
Pre-ordering and preparing materials in advance for the installation of service connections.
Conducting site inspections of road repairs.

**Essential Requirements**:
Matric/Grade 12.
Valid motor vehicle drivers license (Code B).
12 Months relevant experience.
Computer Literacy.

**Preferred Requirements**:
Relevant certification accredited by SAQA.
18 Months relevant experience.
