Battery Assembler

The **Battery Assembler **is responsible for ensuring the quality of the build is of a high quality on the inside and outside. He/She has to double check all completed units before they leave the building area for scratches and check the glands and lid assembly and that the battery is built to specification following Health and Safety protocols.

**Main responsibilities**:

- Ensuring the quality of the build is of a high quality on the inside and outside.
- If any errors were made by the builder or there are any component defects, the programmer/QC must make sure it is rectified and documented.
- Taking pictures of the builds and enter the unit into a programming log.
- Expected to look after his test equipment and keep it charged and in a good condition.
- Must understand the different types of cell layouts, Amps and Voltages on all the types of batteries.
- Understand the circuit diagram and wiring of the batteries. (Being a battery builder will be an advantage)
- Must be willing to work late to meet daily quotas.
- Ability to trouble shoot system errors.

**Essential requirements**:

- Grade 12/Matric
- N4-N6 certificate in Electrical Engineering/N.dip, BSc in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 1 year experience in Battery Assembly.
- Similar work experience may be beneficial.
- Must be proficient in English.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Should have basic knowledge of software languages.
- Good knowledge of fault finding and trouble shooting.
- People Orientated and results driven.
- Basic Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- No criminal record.
