Assist in the selection of appropriate suppliers and contractors, to promote good procurement practice with due regard to sustainability, ethical purchasing standards and costing
- Work with internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs, quality and delivery requirements.
- Monitor, evaluate and improve supplier performance, on a continuous basis.
- Contract Management and Administration
- Compile contracts and ensuring that all requirements are met and that value is gained
- Manage the administration and negotiation of renewal of all contracts and issue amendments to contracts where required
- Manage, review and update contract database
- Ensure the scanning, electronic storing, safe keeping and archiving of all signed contracts
- Effectively manage the end-to-end procurement processes of the organisation while adhering strictly to procurement processes to ensure a fair and transparent procurement process.
- Data Analysis and effective market analysis
- Enablement of the strategic sourcing function
- Maintain good relationships with suppliers and renegotiate prices on a regular basis
- Administration and reporting as necessary
- Diploma (NQF 6) in Supply Chain management or other relevant qualification
- Advanced Diploma or Degree (NQF 7) in Supply Chain management / procurement management will be advantageous.
- 5 years’ previous experience in a Supply Chain environment, preferably within the mining industry.
- Extensive ERP knowledge.
- Computer Literacy (MS office and associated software)
- Valid certificate of physical fitness
- Valid driver’s license
