Horticulturist

La Motte Wine Estate requires the services of an experienced horticulturist to join the Farm team.
- manage all garden and essential oils operations
- ability to maintain and develop the existing gardens
- plant nutrition, hedging and pruning
- pest
- and weed control
- maintenance and cleaning of water features
- garden waste management
- compile and manage garden budget
- inventory management
- staff management
- costing of new projects
- administration related to position

**Applications are awaited from persons who comply with the following**:

- minimum 3 years’ experience in horticulture/landscaping
- relevant tertiary degree
- leadership and excellent organisational skills
- excellent communication skills and language ability in Afrikaans and English
- knowledge of irrigation systems and biodynamic farming
- strong work discipline, with the capacity to handle pressure
- advanced computer skills (Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
- sound finance management skills
- willingness to work overtime and on weekends
