**VACANCY**:ADMINISTRATOR - SECURITY**

**TYPE OF EMPLOYMENT: FIXED-TERM CONTRACT (12 MONTHS)**

**GRADE: B**-LOWER**

**DIVISION: CORPORATE SECURITY SERVICES**

**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**
- Initiate and implement security measures in an organization. Provide clerical support to the security department. Implement security and safety measures to protect employees and office properties. Maintain and manage security files in an organized manner.

- Decisions about best method, operation, route or tools to get the job done.

**DIVERSITY OF WORK**
- Carries out a limited range of administrative, operational or customer service responsibilities.

**TYPES OF COMMUNICATION**

- Security Management;

**DATA CAPTURING**
- Accurately capture all security information onto the register;
- Maintain and manage security files in an organized manner;
- Maintain and manage databases in a secured manner.

**ADHERENCE TO SOPS AND POLICIES**
- Initiate and implement security measures in an organization;
- Implement safety measures in a manufacturing and security setting;
- Educate and counsel personnel on adherence of security and safety issues in a business unit.

**ASSIST ON QUERIES**
- Assist other metal accounting clerks with queries or problems to add input or offer solutions.

**OPERATIONAL ADHOC SUPPORT**
- Provide clerical support to the security department;
- Implement security and safety measures to protect employees and office properties;
- Provide administrative support in implementing security and safety policies;
- Initiate security measures in protecting equipment, tools and materials;
- Coordinate with service providers to arrange polygraphs.

**MINIMUM QUALIFICATION**
- A completed matric qualification.

**SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES**
- Data Capturing knowledge
- Able to add accurate data to SAP system and Excel;
- Computer literacy - SAP and MS office (outlook and excel);
- Administration skills - Able to effectively manage paperwork manually and electronically;
- Good communication skills - Able to communicate technical data with all people;
- People networking skills
- Able to build meaningful relationships within the departments staff;
- Problem solving skills
- Able to identify and offer effective solutions to daily accounting and stock recording problems.

**KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE**
- A minimum of 2 years working experience, preferably in a high risk environment;
- SAP;
- MS Excel.
