**Senior professional officer**: community engagement officer
TCOE salary commencing from R912,661 to R1,378,768 per annum - Ref no: WS 27/23

**Requirements**:
BTech or degree qualification in public relations/marketing or equivalent qualification
Minimum of five (5) years’ relevant experience within community engagement sphere
The incumbent is required to work independently
Good research, analysis, organising and presentation skills and experience
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
Valid code B drivers licence

**Key performance areas**:
Manage, control and oversee the community engagement function of the Transversal PMU
Participate in the preparation and planning stages of existing informal settlements pertaining to in situ upgrading and developments with emphasis on community engagement approach
Draft policies and manage aspects pertaining to procedural and legal matters with all relevant internal and external role players
Manage the facilitation and development of community and partnership relations with all relevant stakeholders
Manage and coordinate statistical information/data to senior management for informed decision-making and
planning
Management and coordination of disaster relief
Manage an effective administration function and processes
Manage and control outcomes associated with the utilisation, productivity and performance of personnel that are direct reports
Provide financial and administrative management role for this job function by assisting with budgeting e.g. annual budgets and individual project / element costing, etc.
