Choir Teacher

**DISA PRIMARY SCHOOL (HOUT BAY)**

The School is seeking a Choir teacher to teach the choir for two hours per week and to assist with mausical shows, events, Eisteddfods and/or exhibitions.

Disa Primary School is aPpublic School, located in Imizamo Yethu in Hout Bay. The School is supported by the Andreas and Susan Struengmann Foundation.

**Requirements**:

- Matric
- Have a musical background
- Ability to play the piano will be an advantage
- Experience in working with primary school learners
- The capacity to build good relationships with learners
- Flexibility
- Friendly and positive disposition, with professional demeanour
- The ability to work in a variety of settings with culturally-diverse families and communities with the ability to be culturally sensitive and appropriate
- Organised and self-reliant

- Assist the choir in participating in musical shows, events, Eisteddfods and/or exhibitions

Time spent over and above the weekly choir lessons (shows, etc) will be paid at the agreed hourly rate.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R400,00 - R500,00 per hour

Expected hours: 2 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
