Job Purpose

To lead the conceptualization, management, and implementation of marketing and communication strategies for the Growthpoint corporate brand, sectors and divisions, as well as additional brands owned by the organization.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement marketing and communication strategies for the Growthpoint brand, ensuring positive perception of the brand for the identified target markets through all forms of communication.
- Act as custodian of the Growthpoint brand and additional Growthpoint brands, ensuring alignment with the values and ethos of the organization in all communications, events, and organizational activities.
- Manage and oversee all content and brand management for the Growthpoint website and any additional product/property websites, ensuring all content is up-to-date, relevant, and aligned with the Growthpoint brand.
- Develop and implement effective and discreet reputation management strategies for Growthpoint's brands, business divisions, and internal departments when necessary, including identifying potential risks and implementing proactive measures to mitigate any reputational damage.
- Enable and facilitate effective communication both within the business and externally to clients, suppliers, and stakeholders using chosen communication tools, ensuring corporate tone and language is consistent within the organization.
- Develop, manage, and oversee all marketing mediums, including above and through the line, as well as all social and digital media, managing and optimizing campaign performance across all mediums, and ensuring all communications align with the Growthpoint brand and communication strategy.
- Manage and enhance the perception of Growthpoint in the public domain through publicizing and sharing relevant information, identifying spokespeople for Growthpoint, and driving a proactive reputation management strategy that positions the organization as a leader in the industry.
- Ensure that sponsorships undertaken by the business are aligned to Growthpoint’s values and strategic objectives, and that they accurately represent the organization and its brand/s and reputation.
- Oversee the alignment of any additional activities related to sponsorships (such as developmental programs), with the overarching CSR and sustainability strategy.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a team of highly skilled and creative marketing and communication professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and driving results.
- Develop and implement communication strategies that effectively publicize Growthpoint's CSR, sustainability, or ESG activities to target audiences.
- Oversee all stakeholder events, ensuring the experience aligns with our values, brand strategy, and communication objectives.
- Monitor expenditures against the approved budget to ensure spending occurs within budgetary guidelines.

Experience
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in marketing and communication roles, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
- Proven ability to build and manage a high-performing team.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field.

Role Location

Growthpoint Head Office in Sandton, Johannesburg. The Company will accommodate some flexibility in this regard.
