About the job
- Preparing customs such as the release and shipping documentation.
- Action client requests by booking cargo in terms of our consolidation rates or specific instructions received by client.
- Resolve any customer service issues that may arise and delegate where necessary.
- Record notes of special remarks for special requests or requirements on the export file cover when necessary, in terms of service, dates, documentary requirements or any other issues which are out the ordinary.
- Responsible for checking the export file and ensuring it is signed.
- Send all pre-alerts to the International agent in a timely manner to avoid penalties and storage at destination.
- Management of client expectations to ensure that no cut offs are missed.
- Accurate labelling of cargo and ensuring the information is accurate i.e destination address/recipient.

**Requirements**:

- Experience in MS office (Excel, PPT, Word).
- Experience working on Shipshape will be advantageous.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment.
- 2 - 3 years experience in a similar environment.
- 2 - 3 years experience working with cargo.
- Have good communication skills - speaking and writing
