Draughtsman - Kzn North Coast

**PLEASE NOTE: The position is based in the Ballito area**
- Overall Purpose Of The Job_
- Duties and responsibilities _
- Reviews plans to ensure plans meet building codes, local ordinances, zone regulations, and contract specifications
- Carries out regular site inspections at each stage of the building process, writes up reports, and keeps records. Provides feedback on deviations from plans. Checks the structural quality and general safety of the building
- Conducts consent of sale inspections as required
- Monitors construction sites periodically to ensure overall compliance
- Utilizes survey instruments, metering devices, and test equipment to perform inspections Keeps daily logs, including photographs taken during inspections and written findings.
- Inspects plumbing, electrical and other systems to ensure they meet the Code
- Provide a service site report to homeowners indicating where services are located prior to construction
- Verifies alignment, level, and elevation of structures to ensure the building meets specifications
- Consults with Line Manager prior to the issuing of a violation notice and stop-work orders
- Develops OSH Policies and safe works procedures for each area of the business
- Conducts risk assessments, audits, and enforces OSH compliance across the Estate
- Minimum Requirements:_
- 5 - 7 years of experience
- Drivers Licence
- Architectural Technologist / Draughting Qualification
- Certificate and/or experience in health and safety being advantageous
