QA Assistant Supervisor

We are looking for a QA Assistant supervisor in the Nasrec area in Soweto for a company within the manufacturing / FMCG industry.

**Job Summary**:
Overall supervision and monitoring of quality and food safety assurance activities for the site organisation

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or degree Food Tech/ Biotech/ Food & Nutrition or Analytical Chemistry
- 1-2 years relevant experience
- FMCG, Manufacturing sector experience essential.
- Proven ability to manage, maintain and deliver against Customer requirements.

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate and support the establishment, implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of the Food Safety and Quality System as per FSSC 22000
- Food Safety Team Coordinator
- Supplier Quality Assurance activities coordination
- Coordinate activities and follow ups for the Validation and Verification of the food safety system
- Participate and assist with external audits from certification bodies and customer auditors
- Coordinate Mock recalls and Traceability exercises
- Assist with the preparation and coordination of the Annual management review
- Participate and coordinate the HACCP plan review
- Coordinate the company’s internal and GMP audit program
- Coordinate in-house training on company policies, procedures and basic GMP’s
- Handling and trending consumer complaints, CARs, concession and NCRs and monthly quality assurance analysis
- Raising nonconformances, conduct root cause analysis and investigation on non-conformances and ensure close out thereof
- CCP/ OPRPs Monitoring Verifications
- Interpret test results, compare them to established specifications and control limits, escalate, and make recommendations on appropriateness of data for release.
- Serve as a technical liaison between quality and other departments, customers, and suppliers.
- Participate in out-of-specification and failure investigations and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate testing with contract laboratories and vendors.
- Write technical reports or documentation such as deviation reports, testing protocols, and trend analyses.
- Certification co-ordination e.g. Halaal, Kosher, etc
