Prior-authorization Consultant

**Role At a Glance**
MSA Outsourcing Solutions is seeking highly experienced Prior Authorization Agents to join our remote services team. Joining our USA based business, you will be focusing on the USA medical and pharmaceutical sectors, providing on demand responses and solutions. This role is an in office role. The role will be office-based in Houghton Estate Johannesburg, operating during USA EST hours (3pm-11pm daylight savings dependent).

**Main Tasks**
- Insurance Eligibility & Verification
- Verify Medicaid Eligibility, verify patient insurance coverage to ensure patient is eligible on the date of service.
- Review initial benefits, re-verification of benefits, and questions/clarification on benefits
- Follow up with Insurance to discuss claims that didn’t pay properly.
- Computer proficiency
- Advanced Microsoft Skills
- Proven experience in the same or similar industry
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to write clear and detailed reports
- Strong ability to multi-task
- High attention to detail
- Knowledge of the medical insurance industry
- Exceptional interpersonal, phone etiquette and writing skills
- Superb organizational skills, time management skills and attention to detail
- Possesses self-management skills, a team-based demeanor, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under strict deadlines while independently balancing multiple projects at once
- Strong desire to provide the highest level of customer service to clients

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: R7,000.00 - R9,000.00 per month

**Experience**:

- Customer Service: 1 year (preferred)
- Microsoft Excel: 1 year (preferred)
- Prior Authorization: 1 year (preferred)
