**We are seeking a Water Technician / Plumber for a permanent role based in Emalahleni / Nelspruit, Mpumalanga**

**Applicants are required to meet the following criteria**:

- Minimum of N6 / National Diploma in Civil Engineering with Plumbing Trade Certificate
- 5+ years relevant plumbing experience
- Experience in auditing for water savings / water efficiency, burst pipe repairs, domestic plumbing, and understanding of bulk infrastructure - reservoirs, pump stations etc
- Experience with Automated Meter Reading (AMR) equipment beneficial
- Be able to draught a basic reticulation schematic from a provided legend
- Valid driver’s license and wiling to travel

**The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to**:

- Make recommendations and implement approved intervention schedules of water savings
- Coordinate / get approval for leak repairs and ensure sign offs
- Water audits (ongoing) of facilities to determine - meter accuracy, installation method, flow rates
- Design / draught schematic of each facility’s water reticulation
- Visible leak repairs and invisible leak repairs (subterranean)
- Water efficiency and retrofitting
- Water substitution and augmentation
- Water interventions - estimate of kl per day / quotes / schedule interventions
- Implement / supervise sub-contractors and provide feedback
- Health & Safety duties
- Sourcing and cost management of sub-contractors
