**About this opportunity**

We are looking for a Security Manager who will be responsible for managing security risks and activities for Ericsson in countries under Customer Unit (CU) across South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Cameroon & Congo Brazzaville.

The CU security manager reports to the Head of Security Operations, MMEA and supports, and liaises closely with the MMEA Head of CU, Country Managers, Key Account Managers (KAMs), local leadership teams as well as Ericsson employees and contractors.

This role is key in providing the business with professional, cost-efficient and risk-based security management.

**What will you do?**
- Ensure global security directives and guidelines are implemented and complemented by local security instructions where needed.
- Responsible for implementation of legal, statutory, regulatory and contractual requirements on security.
- Assist and support MMEA CU organization, its interfaces, roles and responsibilities.
- Coordinate security activities for all sites related to MMEA CU.
- Establish and drive a Security Core Team (SCT) for MMEA CU in accordance with the Local Security and Crisis Management Governance instruction.
- Establish and train a CU level Crisis Management Task Forces (CMTF) and also at the country level where necessary, for countries under MMEA CU, in accordance with the Local Security and Crisis Management Governance instruction.
- Manage security incidents and investigations in accordance with the Security Incident Handling Process and Investigation Framework.
- Facilitate conduct of risk assessments based on business requirements, agreements and activities.
- Manage the Country Security Information (CSI) pages on the intranet for all countries in MMEA CU.
- Ericsson Information Security Management System (ISMS) support.
- Business Continuity Management (BCM) support.
- Monitor and control costs and quality of security support provision, including outsourced security functions.
- Monitor and follow up on physical security installations and solutions at respective Ericsson offices.
- Assist in due diligence processes to perform security risk assessments of vendors and partners, when requested.
- Drive planned security awareness activities.
- Support Ericsson’s personnel, contractors and visitors in minimizing risks.
- Support and participate in audits and investigations on request.

**The CU Security Manager has the following authority**:

- To execute the security plan in accordance with and within allocated budget.
- Recommend and implement approved local security risk control measures and instructions.
- Manage security service providers as well as the agreements with them.
- Manage all security incidents and crisis situations as per the Crisis Management Plan (CMP) for all entities in MMEA CU.
- To manage and control operational security in MMEA CU.

**The CU Security Manager has the following interfaces**:

- External Interfaces: Ericsson customers, Ericsson third party vendors, Ericsson sub-contractors, Governmental/State agencies and departments, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), Security functions of customers and partners, Security organizations and networks.
- Internal Interfaces: Company Leadership Team, Ericsson employees, various Ericsson functions and departments, Local IT Managers, Local Administrative Services (LAS), Local Real Estate & Facilities Management (REFM), People Function, MMEA Head of Security Operations.

**You will bring**
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Minimum experience of 10 years in of security operations.
- Knowledge of Security Risk Management, Crisis Management, Personnel Security, Event Security, Executive Security, Travel Security, Physical Security, Security Incident Management, Security Investigations, Security Operations in High-Risk Areas and Business Continuity Management.
- Business Understanding.
- Change, Improvement Management & Risk Management Skills.
- Professional security certifications are preferred.
