Position: Back of House and Kitchen Trainer

Location: Kampala, Uganda/Nairobi, Kenya

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct extensive training sessions to enhance the culinary skills and performance of our back of house and kitchen staff.
- Develop and implement training programs, ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards, including food handling procedures.
- Train new hires on the guidelines and protocols required to maintain consistency in food quality and customer service.
- Deliver hands-on coaching, providing guidance on proper cooking techniques, recipe adherence, and efficient kitchen operations.
- Collaborate closely with the management team to identify training needs, address skill gaps, and develop continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate trainees to track progress, provide constructive feedback, and recognize exceptional performance.
- Stay up-to-date with culinary trends, equipment usage, and industry best practices to enhance training programs.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a back of house or kitchen trainer within the food service industry.
- Passion for culinary arts, food safety, and exceptional customer service.
- Extensive knowledge of kitchen operations, culinary techniques, and hygiene standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and motivate diverse teams.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Adaptable and resourceful problem-solver who can think on their feet in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant culinary certifications or qualifications will be considered a plus.

**Salary**: R36,000.00 - R53,000.00 per month
