Systems Analyst Analyst

An iconic South African fashion retailer is seeking a Systems Analyst to join their dynamic Data & Technology team at their office in Cape Town North. This role is your chance to make a real impact by developing and maintaining programs that optimize merchandise planning and ensure the company's objectives are met. Minimum 2 years in structured programming and SQL, 1 year in retail IT (essential), 1 year in ERP/MMS/Planning System Management (preferred).

Type: Onsite

**Salary**: R35 000 R50 000 CTC per month

Here's what you'll do:

- Be the guardian of system performance: Keep the system humming smoothly, ensuring accurate data and optimal user experience.
- Identify and tackle issues: Monitor user activity and product performance, troubleshoot deviations, and escalate concerns when necessary.
- Spot opportunities and prevent risks: Analyze trends and suggest initiatives to capitalize on potential and mitigate challenges.
- Enhance the system: Propose and implement improvements, keeping the system up-to-date and optimized.
- Become a user champion: Train super users, manage logs, and build strong relationships with stakeholders across departments.

To thrive in this role, you'll need:

- Tech chops: Deep expertise in ToolsGroup Just Enough, SQL scripting, and code comprehension.
- Retail savvy: A keen understanding of retail business processes and planning practices (preferred).
- Problem-solving prowess: A knack for analyzing data, identifying root causes, and developing creative solutions.
- Communication maestro: The ability to bridge the gap between business, IT, and support teams with clear and concise communication.
- Team player: You'll work collaboratively while also taking initiative and ownership.
- Qualifications: Grade 12 certificate (essential), IT degree/diploma (preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in structured programming and SQL, 1 year in retail IT (essential), 1 year in ERP/MMS/Planning System Management (preferred).
