**Your mission**:
- Operation, routine maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment problems relating but no limited to:
- Mondi 132kV transmission towers (9) from the Umhlathuze LEO switch yard to Mondi 132kV switch yard
- Mondi 132kV switching yard
- 11kV reticulation system which includes power and distributions transformers, feeders, RMUs, battery tripping units (BTUs) and the related protection elements such as relays and cables
- Mill 11kV Generators comprising of steam driven and gas turbine generators;
- Excitors
- AVRs
- Busbar systems
- Stray flux and partial discharge measurement systems
- Execution of planned maintenance interventions on minor and major shuts
- Coaching and training of new apprentices and trainees as assigned from time to time
- Perform HV standby duties on a rotational basis
**Your profile**:
- Minimum NQF 4 Electrical Engineering
- Trade Test Electrician
- Must have completed 2-year apprenticeship
- 3 years post apprenticeship experience as an electrician in a heavy industry including experience in including 3.3kV to 132kV switching and troubleshooting on related medium voltage feeders and protection relays
- Passed SANS10142-1 Exam (electrical installation rules) (i.e. eligible to obtain wiremen’s licence)
- Valid Certificate for Operating Regulations for High Voltage Systems (ORHVS)
- Code 08 / EB license compulsory
