Lead the development and maintenance of the SC's risk management framework to ensure that risk is minimised, mitigated, or encouraged, in line with the company's risk appetite.
- Document and coordinate policies and processes for SC.
- Establish and implement relevant internal controls for key processes.
- Provide advice and undertake regular reviews with risk owners to ensure the effectiveness (and documentation) of internal controls, and that management response across SCs risk management framework is appropriate and timely.
- Provide direction and support in relation to the administration, identification, measurement, control and review of risk registers, ensuring they are fit-for-purpose and integrated as part of day-to-day operations and strategies.
- Manage the monthly review and reporting of SC's risk registers, including Executive Leadership Team engagement in relation to preparation of monthly risk updates for the Board.
- Oversight of SC's Delegations' documentation.
- Conduct annual reviews of SC's delegations to ensure they remain consistent with SC's internal control environment.
- Develop and implement a compliance management and monitoring framework and perform compliance assessments to ensure SC's staff understand and adhere to their compliance obligations. This includes recruitment, onboarding, course rollout, client onboarding etc
- Oversee SC's Quality and Assurance activities, including those relating the development, documentation, and maintenance of SC's policies and procedures.
- Monitor, manage, and report on SC compliance obligations, including those that relate to legislation, licensing and permits, and internal policies.
- Develop and provide training to employees on compliance and risk related matters and work with the executive leadership team to foster a culture of compliance and appropriate risk taking across SC.
- Health & safety: Monitoring the workplace by inspections, observation and feedback to ensure effective risk controls remain in place and taking action to address risks identified
- Health & safety: Providing employees with the necessary time and resources to manage risks and comply with the relevant legislation so as to protect the welfare of all employees, contractors, environment and community
- Manage monitoring and evaluation in line with funder and other stakeholder requirements
- Handle all client details and information with relevant integrity and confidentiality.
- Develop and Maintain reports to meet company, funder and client requirements
- Establish and maintain a professional risk and compliance environment
- Maintain knowledge on changes to relevant legislation, industry updates, client products, services, polices & procedure
- Participate as an effective member of the leadership team to deliver on SC's strategic and financial objectives whilst building strong alignment, employee engagement, team ownership and accountability, across SC.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Mitchells Plain, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Education**:

- Bachelors (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Risk and Compliance: 5 years (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Drivers License (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

- 25% (preferred)
