The Senior Manager, Data Science is a senior people management role accountable for operationally managing other seasoned or senior Data Scientists / Data Analysts. In addition to managing a team, this role applies and inspires the adoption of data science and analytics within NTT. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage data-driven solutions that add business value using statistical models, machine learning algorithms, data mining, and visualization techniques are created and delivered.

**Key Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Manage a team of Data Scientists / Data Analysts to ensure achievement of team objectives/KPIs
- Identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions
- Provide guidance in the research, design, implementation and deployment of scalable data analytics vision and machine learning solutions to challenge complex business issues
- Manage company’s data with third party sources of information when needed
- Provide guidance in the enhancement of data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems
- Provide guidance to process, clean, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis, and building algorithms necessary to find meaningful answers
- Perform analysis using programming languages or statistical packages such as Python and R etc.
- Guides on the mining and analysis of data to drive optimization and improvement of business strategy
- Creatively visualizes and effectively communicates results of data analysis, insights, and ideas in a variety of formats to key decision-makers within the business
- Set operational objectives for successful launch by leading and mentoring diverse, geo-distributed teams through innovation, bootstrapping, pilot, production, scaling, and maintenance phases with multiple stakeholders to the highest levels of quality and performance
- Manage the development of SQL Queries for reports and dashboards
- Analyse relational and transactional databases to provide data analysis, and present results in a clear manner
- Provide guidance on the creation of documentation around processes and procedures and manage code reviews
- Applies industry standards best practices to development activities
- Provide guidance to working on data set to ensure solutions are successfully executed, within agreed upon time frames
- Continuously ensure team remains abreast of latest technology and tools in the area of data science

- Desire to create strategies and solutions that challenge and expand the thinking of everyone around you
- Ability to think strategically about how to use data to drive competitive advantages
- Excellent leadership skills

**Academic Qualifications and Certifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree or related in a relevant field such Data Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science etc.
- Relevant programming certification(s)
- Agile certification preferable

**Required Experience**:

- Extended demonstrable experience with one or more programming languages (e.g. Python) and database languages (e.g. SQL)
- Extended demonstrable experience with data warehouse and data lake technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT, and reporting/analytic tools
- Extended demonstrable experience in data modelling
- Extended demonstrable experience idesigning tabular models in Analysis Services
- Extended demonstrated experience with Azure Synapse Analytics
