- To effectively do press operating, and or packing when required, and all other diverse tasks that the employee is required to do.- General Description:
- The key areas of responsibility include:
- Pressing of cupels (old and new press)
- Packing
- Mixing
- Other diverse tasks
- Loading/unloading oven
- Making of boxes
- Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
- Press any cupel size and type that he/she is instructed to produce.
- Refill you powder bin from the main bin as required.
- Spread the powder over the mould as instructed.
- Start the press cycle by pressing both buttons/levers that actuates the press cylinder downward.
- (Old press type only) ensure that the downward motion is completed before
- releasing the levers, ensuring hard cupels are produced.
- (Old press type only) when there is enough space available, press the lever that ejects the cupel until the same is fully out of the mould.
- Take the cupel(s) and place them on a tray in rows and columns as specified by the supervisor. Then place such tray in a shelf on your trolley and get another trolley.
- Regularly (as required to ensure no rough surfaces) clean the surfaces on the various parts of the mould/press.
- When the trolley is full, get another and start packing trays into it.
- Packing cupels from trolleys into boxes, including pads between layers, and in rows/quantity/layers as per instructions.
- Place box onto pallet.
- Shovel the correct amount of material into weighting in.
- Filter the material onto the large particle separation sieve.
- Remove material after it has been sieved and place same into the mixing bowl.
- Add a container of liquid to the pressure vessel, then open the valve to spray this into the mixing bowl.
- Turn on the mixing bowl and remove all material from it.
- Tilt the mixing bowl and remove all material from it.
- Move the material through the lump removal in the bin.
- Move or arrange for removal of the bin to the pressing area.
- Packing to the oven: move all trolleys into the oven at the end of the day.
- Making boxes for relevant cupel size being packed.
Moving trolleys from the press area into the oven and from the oven to the packing area. The larger cupels should be put into the oven first ie. Nearest to the burner.
- Press according to the cupel requirements chart.
- Packing of trays according to the tray packing format chart.
- Packing of boxes according to the format and quantity required.
- Ensure certificate corresponds with the box**Inherent Requirements**

- Previous experience in the manufacturing field would be advantageous.- Knowledge:

- Ability to speak, write, read in English. Ability to stand for long periods of time, ability to bend stretch etc. physical fitness is important
