Houseman

A houseman is responsible for the overall sanitation and maintenance of the assigned premises.

**Key Performance Objectives**:

- Cleans, sweeps, vacuums, mops hotel areas such as hallways, stairways, laundry rooms, common guest and staff areas, restrooms, public or other similar areas.
- Sweeps, mops, scrubs, strips, extracts, waxes, buff, vacuums, all types of floors
- Set-up and cleaning of balconies and patios of guest rooms
- Moves heavy weighing packages
- Assist the Room Attendants as necessary i.e. rotating mattresses
- Delivering requested items to guest rooms
- Reports any damage or missing items and submit maintenance requests
- Houseman duties includes removal of trash, mopping, vacuuming
- Assist in other areas of the hotel as needed, such as collecting/delivering dirty linen to laundry, assisting with laundry or housekeeping as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of the hotel public areas, restrooms, meeting rooms
- Perform duties in a safe manner
- Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English
- Maintain high level of confidentiality when working with VIP guests.
- Maintain relationship and communication with other staff to ensure cohesion

- Constantia, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
