Technical Manager

Upper Highway based security company is looking to employ a technical manager. The job will include designing and implementing security systems, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, and managing a team of technicians. The specific duties will include

**TECHNICAL MANAGER POSITION**:

- Developing and implementing security systems.
- Managing a team of technicians, including recruiting, hiring, dismissals and training of team members
- Overseeing and planning of all installation plus maintenance of security systems, including Fire detection systems, cameras, Intercoms, alarms, and access control systems.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with security systems, working with vendors and suppliers as necessary
- Staying up-to-date with new security technologies and trends, and identifying opportunities for the company to improve its security systems
- Coordinating with other departments, such as IT and sales, to ensure the security systems are integrated with other systems and services
- Providing support and guidance to clients, as needed

- Must be pro-active and show initiative in getting work done.
- Strong time management skills: the ability to assess job progress and adjust output levels to meet the deadline.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be flexible and able to work overtime at short notice.

**A** can-do attitude is a must. This position is suited for a person who is a quick thinker with the ability to adjust his work plan & delegate to engage all available team members to meet the required outcomes in the most efficient and cost effective manner. Must be able to multi task to manage smaller projects as well as larger installations.

- High School (matric) (preferred)

**Experience**:

- In a similar position: 3 years (preferred)
- in the Security industry: 3 years (preferred)
