**Category and Campaign Planner - R45K neg, Midrand**
**Advanced Excel, advanced Analytical skills,**
**Position Objectives**
The Campaign Planner is responsible for delivering campaigns in line with Marketing plans and financial targets on schedule deadlines and for tracking and analysing campaign performance from ideation to brochure proof checking to post campaign analysis.
**Specific Accountabilities**
1. Assists with the Campaign Planning Schedule & Process execution
- Prepare monthly campaign packs and obtains director signatures after approval in Sign off meeting
- Prepare daily sales monthly MPR slides and post campaign reviews
- Approve Frozen Zone documentation and assists with obtaining approval internally
- Compiles and circulates minutes of various business process meetings for actioning by responsible parties
2. Brochure execution process
- Create brochure paginations to deliver brochure platform targets and campaign/category strategies.
- Responsible for implementing all changes on excel pagination because of the campaign and creative review meetings.
- Create Leader list onto Merchandising Database and update as Campaign pagination and pricing/offers changes
- Tracks campaign brochure content vs planned pack via brochure proof checking - championing the CASO (changes after sign off) process and the supply of foreign pricing for the OOC brochures and leaflets via the consolidated price pack.
- Prepares test invoicing and COBO testing
- Attends daily stock meeting and communicates action requirements to Category team
- Coordinates category contingency proposals for approval by Campaign Manager and Marketing Director based on daily sales
- Responsible for execution of contingency plan - coordinates across Operations and Marketing to ensure successful outcome
- Drives to plan strong brochures/campaign content based on prior year successes, ensuring energy through strategic newness focus and strong customer focused offers throughout the brochure.
3. Supports inventory management
- Monitors stock on hand and coordinates excess reduction plans with Category team and Manager.
- Attends Monthly Readiness meetings and coordinates communication compilation by Category team in time for Campaign opening
4. Supports Category management
- Compiles offer comparison per Campaign to ensure all unit movers and net sales movers are anniversaried from previous year results to result in business growth per Category
- Monitor pricing of offers and advises where necessary to avoid margin loss of sales due to aggressive price increases or low pricing
5. Reporting and Data Management
- Responsible for data cleansing and creating reports on Merch File.
- In preparation of the Merch file: create the Brochure Actuals document and ensure data scrubbing shows an accurate view of the monthly results.
- With implementation of Merchandising System to run specific reports such as Source of Sales, Category Statistics, Segment reports, Newness reports, Price analysis, KPI tracking etc.
- Supply the monthly Brochure Actuals document to Demand Planning for compilation of Forecast accuracy reporting.
6. Continuous monitoring, analysis and measurement of campaign results
- Daily Sales Tracking report to be communicated to all stakeholders.
- Responsible for preparing the Daily Sales Report from a campaign perspective and drafting the commentary (Weekly Narratives)
- Responsible for preparing contingency plans and business cases based on the Daily Sales Reports
- Accountable for the creation and execution of the contingency plan briefing together with its communication to the Marketing department as well as the execution of the plan.
- Pricing analysis to be done in preparation decks for Sign Off and price increase tracking in Post Campaign Analysis reports i.e., Post-mortem
- Prepares and balances the data for Packs providing analysis and recommendations for Campaign Review meetings.
- Sign Off decks to be prepared and reviewed with the Campaign Manager in preparation for presentation at Sign Off meetings.
- Compiles and co-ordinates, MPR deck and monthly Post-Mortem meetings, reviews the deck with the Campaign Manager in preparation for presentation to Directors.
7. Ensure Inventory contribution per campaign is maintained, and excess is promoted to support excess disposition plans.
- Ensure the year-end inventory target is achieved by executing the excess strategy for your relevant campaigns.
- Action updates from Campaign Manager from the monthly inventory meetings to ensure all discussion points for Campaign are actioned and to ensure inventory targets are met.
- Escalate and flag any concerns (to line manager) for leader list and excess execution, that may impact inventory plans in respect of any deviation from the plans signed off with executive team.
8. Manage the Campaign Planning Schedule & Process
