We currently have a great opportunity available for an Installation Electrician (IE) to join our team in Cape Town. This is a great opportunity for an ambitious individual to further their career in the solar industry.

To perform in this role you need an electrician degree from a technical college and experience in the field working on simple and complex electrical systems.

**Electrician Responsibilities**:

- Installing and repairing electrical equipment and components which can include switch gear and inverters for solar installations as needed.
- Installing Solar Systems.
- Performing maintenance on existing electrical equipment for solar installations.
- Performing safety checks of all components.
- Writing reports and certifications of completion (CoC).
- Travelling to customer locations to troubleshoot issues.
- Communicating issues and integrations with electrical colleagues.
- Providing technical support to electrical colleagues.

**Electrician Requirements**:

- Completion of Electrical Qualification.
- Registered with the Department of Labour.
- Wireman's License.
- Can sign COC's.
- 3+ years' experience working as an electrician.
- High school diploma.
- Valid driver's license.
- Deep electrical system, power generation, blueprints, maintenance, and repair knowledge.
- Experience in the renewable energy field.
- Experience working with Microsoft Office.

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Midrand, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
