**Main purpose of position**
Currently we are looking for a
**Payroll Advisor** (6-month contract) in Cape Town, South Africa to be part of our global team working together towards our vision
- **Improving our future.** As our Payroll Advisor, you will execute various compensation processes, strategies and program aligned with company strategy, culture, and values. Within area of scope, you will pay employees and compile payroll information accurately by managing benefits administration, payroll preparation, completing reports and maintaining records. Journal posting and dealing with South African Revenue Services (SARS) to ensure tax compliance from payroll. Important role to implement, assess and evaluate various rewards elements and analytics, to promote the further development of both individuals and the company.

**Main responsibilities**
- Responsible for the weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll cycles
- Manage and ensure payroll system in country/region
- Payroll & benefit input administration: Extracts and collates payroll data, report compilation and reconciliation
- Administers employee benefit schemes - ensure all documentation and contributions are available
- Handling payroll queries, compiles weekly and monthly statistical reports
- Manage other compensation and benefits system including salary reviews and bonus processes
- Maintains accurate records of employee attendance, leave and overtime to calculate pay and benefit entitlements, using the payroll system
- Ensures that employee payroll files are up-to-date and accurate, entering any changes into the
- Record employee personal information and update
- Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and update the payroll processing system
- Reconcile payroll and detect any discrepancies
- Audit compliance of all Payroll related statutory returns
- Attending to UIF and employees tax registration
- Ensure benefits packages are aligned to local country standards
- Investigate benefit programs (insurance, wellness )
- Evaluate and negotiate with service providers
- Assume responsibility of timely payment of monthly premiums
- Manage and advise on compliance requirements related to labour law, immigration and social security
- Manage and handle insurances and be the main contact person towards our insurance broker on personnel insurance, medical aid and pensions globally
- Find, use, create and present relevant rewards data and statistics that can drive the strategy and inform company decision making.
- Initiate digitalization of Rewards processes and actively seek new technology opportunity to improve
- Assists with designing local / in-country compensation and benefits policies
- Coordinates compensation processes like the salary planning, bonus planning and incentive schemes
- Consults with Compensation Specialists and Executive management for exceptions in the compensation of individual employees.
- Train, coach and support regional and local HR within area of expertise

**Qualifications and competencies**
- National Diploma in HR/Payroll qualification or Degree advantageous
- Minimum 3 years' Payroll experience
- SAGE as a key system and Proficiency with payroll software
- More than 5+ years HR experience including strong compensation and benefit and global mobility competence and experiences
- Extracts and collates payroll data, report compilation and reconciliation
- Experience of working in an international matrix organization
- Strong competence in use and communication about rewards system, preferably Mercer
- High IT and Excel expertise
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Excellent communication skills
- Organized and methodical - structured approach
- Flexible and adaptable with a “can-do” attitude
- Practise a flexible and dynamic way of working using lean and agile concepts. Recognizes and communicates the value of diverse perspectives
- HR, Payroll compliances and Report processing
