**Purpose**: To provide steam for distillation by operating a coal fired boiler as needed and be an integral part of the maintenance team during shut down periods.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Grade 12
- Code B License
- Have a valid boiler operators certificate
- Previously worked in boiler room
- Have a technical aptitude
- Willing to perform ad hoc and general tasks when required
- Own reliable transport

**Skills and job knowledge required**:

- Must be able work overtime
- Willing to work shifts
- Basic admin functions
- Communicate with process controllers.
- Basic mechanical skills
- Physically fit
- Work under pressure

**Job Summary**:

- During distillation season shifts will be worked to ensure constant steam is produced for distillation.
- Long hours and work over weekends and overtime is required to make a success out of this position.
- During off season this incumbent needs to form part of the maintenance team and be able to do ad hoc tasks given by the Foreman.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 1 month
