**Job purpose**

The purpose of the Switchboard Operator is to answer all incoming calls and direct it to the correct person

in the company or alternatively take a message.

**Job objectives and Functions**

**Directing incoming calls**
- Answer incoming calls and transfer calls to the
relevant person
- Take detailed messages if required for individuals who
are not available to accept phone case

**Job requirements**

**Qualifications and experience**
- NQF 4 Matric or Equivalent
- 1-2 years' Receptionist

**Skills, abilities and job-related knowledge**
- Communication skills
- English comprehension
- Customer care
- Organisational awareness
