Jnr Mechanical Draughtsman

Join a small, dynamic engineering team taking on large projects as a Junior Mechanical Draughtsman. A company that has grown as a trusted service provider with a growing client base locally, nationally and internationally. They specialise in mechanical design and drawings in 2D and 3D doing piping, vessels, storage tanks, silos and structures (stairway, platform, support structure, pipe support bridge, etc).

The successful incumbent must be proficient in Autocad and preferably Inventor/Revit together with a draughting qualification and 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role.

**Position details**:
To produce concept and detailed 3D models, designs and drawings for plant equipment and layout working in-hand with the engineer according to standards and engineering best practice.
Knowledge of piping, fittings, instruments (gauges, flow meter, etc).
Able to produce basic structural drawings such as ladder, platform, pipe support in AutoCAD.
Adherence to company rules.
Work according to the company systems and workflows.
Identify issues and resolve such as accessibility, maintenance friendly layout, constructability, etc.
Site visits and meetings with engineering team and clients and measuring up on site.
Meticulous attention to detail and quality of work.

Travel requirements: To client sites (own vehicle required)

Other services include fluid flow / pressure drop analysis (e.g. for filtration), transport rigs and rigging analysis as well as forensic investigations, design verification or peer-review.
