**Job Overview**:
A highly reputable concern located in Pretoria East requires the expertise of a **Project Manager **to form part of the Information and Communication Technology business unit** for a 2-year fixed term contract.**

**Position Overview**:
The purpose of this role is to **manage the planning** and **delivery of the information technology (IT) projects** by the reputable concerns **Project Management Framework** and other **applicable IT standards**.
- This position_**_ reports to a Senior Manager: Project Management Office._**

**Key Performance areas include**:

- Strategic Function** - contribute to the management of IT projects** in the company’s operating environment.
- **Project management** - **create and execute IT project** _plans_ and _revise_ them as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- **Review project proposals** or **plans** to **determine time frames**, **funding** **limitations**, **procedures** for **_accomplishing projects_**, **_staffing requirements_** and allotment of available departmental resources to various project phases.
- **Project team leadership** - **_identify resources needed_** and a**ssign individual responsibilities to project team members.**:

- **Project governance and reporting** - _manage_ all the **organisation’s IT projects in line** with the **_approved organisation project management framework_**.
- **Project measurement -** **_identify_** and **_prioritise_** **_appropriate measures, scales, and targets_**.
- **Stakeholder Management** - **_establish, build and maintain_** collaborative **working relationships** with relevant internal stakeholders.
- **People Management** - support the implementation of the activities outlined in the BU People Plan, transformation/culture plans.

**Essential Experience, Qualifications and Skills Required**:
**Minimum Requirements**:

- **Minimum** qualification of a **Bachelor's Degree(NQF level 7)** in **IT** and **Project Management Certification such as**:

- **_Project Management South Africa (PMSA)._**:

- **_Project Management Professional (PMP)._**:

- **_Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)._**:

- **_Prince II._**
- **_5 years’ experience managing projects _**with a **minimum 3 years’ experience working within **an** IT environment/ IT Projects.
