**_ Position Purpose:_**
- Establish and manage a performance information management and verification mechanism for critical performance

measures to ensure reliability of reported data across Transnet’s SCM function
- Develop business solutions for the SCM function to ensure achievement of performance targets by developing innovative

solutions using analytics, big data, and digital technologies.
- Develop and implement a reporting system to provide updates on the implemented strategic initiatives and KPIs, and ensure

reconciliation of reported information
- Develop high quality dashboards, presentations and reports for tabling at EXCO, iSCM, and other governance structures

**_ Position outputs:_**
- Establish and manage a system for the management and standardised flow of SCM performance information across TCC

and ODs.
- Oversee data governance to manage the flow of data in the organisation through appropriate people, systems, and

processes.
- Drive the implementation of data quality assurance to ensure that data integrity is built into the governance processes.
- Prepare presentations of evidence-based performance analysis and recommendations for approval and presentation to

governance structures to enhance decision-making.
- Deliver and produce insights based on big-data analytics and innovative tools, as well as identify trends and areas for

intervention
- Interface with custodians of performance information from TCC and ODs to enhance collaborations with divisions and core

functions.
- Review and provide approval for the Key Performance Indicators to ensure that they meet the SMART principles.
- Develop and maintain a KPI dictionary for the KPIs from the Procurement Strategy, as well as the other critical measures.
- Monitor risk profile of the SCM function and support the integrated/combined assurance activities.
- Provide inputs in the development of a SCM’s chapter in the Corporate Plan and monitor their performance

**_ Qualifications & Experience:_**
- B Degree in Commercial, Technology, Computer, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or equivalent

qualification
- 8 years’ experience in performance management and reporting, of which 3 years at enterprise-wide and management level
- Experience in data analytics and governance
- Requirement of trust and honesty in the handling of finances as per the National Credit Act Amendment 19
- Standard Job Requirements- Driver’s license code 08
- Travel as required and approved
