PURPOSE

To support the Head of Learning & Development in the effective delivery of the overall L&D strategy. The Learning & Development Officer would be responsible for the creation and delivery of bespoke training programs, e-learning platforms, and content creation for development programs.

Designed with leadership, management, business and personal progression and best practice in mind, the intention is to expand on the talents and skills across all employees at all levels within an organization. They will fundamentally assist in the organization’s success, by coaching and developing its people.

SPAN OF CONTROL

This position will form part of the Human Resources Team and will report into the L&D Strategist.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12 / Matric with mathematics or math’s literacy.
- Relevant Degree or National Diploma in Human Resources /Industrial Psychology or in a relevant field
- SDF Qualification

**Learning & Development Support**
- Support the implementation of the Belgotex Learning & Development department Key Performance Areas (KPA’s) by executing the vision experiments.
- Provide learning development Subject Matter Expertise and advisory to business and key stakeholders on questions or queries regarding training and learning.
- Conduct ongoing research and development initiatives to ensure that Belgotex programmes meet or exceed industry standards.
- Works effectively as a team member with other members of management and the HR staff, creating training programs that are aligned with the organization’s objectives and having a strong understanding of what these are. ** Learning & Development Cycle**
- Create/ design and deliver L&D solutions to support the organisational change (i.e. Human Optimisation) and development areas outlined in the overall L&D strategy using a blend of methodologies including computer based, self-managed learning, remote delivery, management cascade, classroom and on job learning as appropriate.
- Coordinate and facilitate onboarding and on the job orientation for new hires and newly promoted employees.
- Embracing different styles of training techniques, including e-learning, tutorial sessions or coaching.
- Building relationships with 3rd party training providers.
- Managing the development of the HR team from a training perspective.
- Proposes training and development programs and objectives as part of the learning needs analysis process for the business. ** Facilitation, Coaching & Mentoring**
- Train and coach managers, supervisors, and others in relation to employee development.
- Plans, organizes, facilitates and orders supplies for employee development and training events
- Roll out the Competency Based Framework across the business through facilitating training and workshops
- Roll out Individual Growth Plans to the Skilled and Professionally qualified employees and supporting Managers on to facilitate development discussions ** Learning Management System**
- Responsible for the design, development, implementation, delivery and tracking of all LMS content/courses
- Create & develop training content for employees on a weekly, monthly and/or yearly basis
- Identifying any opportunities for process & quality improvements ** Learning & Development Administration**
- Develops and maintains organizational communications such as notice on boards and newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources
- Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
- Co-ordinate and compile a career path for each position in conjunction with inputs from line management as part of succession planning
- Co-ordinate and compile training reports on a monthly basis and assess progress against WSP and BBBEE targets.
- Developing a plan and content for storytelling and showcasing the impact of L&D initiatives to the business
- Administer, coordinate training and track employee progress on the various digital learning platforms
- Coordinate and administer the schools’ fees bursary initiatives.

- Attending Career Fairs at different institutions annually.
- Compile and update Graduate Development programs for all graduates recruited.
- Improve the talent pipeline by aligning graduates to respective development pathways
- Full cycle of graduate recruitment from attending career fair to offer management.
- Coordinate and facilitate all YES4YOUTH graduates initiatives and the BBBEE verification process.

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- At least 3 years’ experience in HR or similar role
- At least 3 years’ experience using and performing administrative tasks on a Learning Management System (LMS)
- Experience using Sage People 300 - Skills Module
- Proficient in MS Office
- Facilitation experience is advantageous
- Previous experience in graduate recruitment highly advantageous
