**The Person**:

- B.Com or Marketing Degree.
- IMM/Chartered Marketers qualification preferred.
- Min 8+ years FMCG experience at Group Product Manager level.
- Preferred experience in Africa/BUP markets, or certainly the passion for African markets
- Strong skills in MS Office & relevant software packages (analytics tools, Excel, PPT).
- A servant Leader with a love of the hustle and bustle of the gritty Africa markets.

**The Job**:

- Work with Group Sales & Marketing Head to develop and embed best practices, minimum standards, policies, processes, tools, technology and enablers through the Groups Marketing and Sales strategy and capability development strategy.
- Support the sharing of best practices, frameworks and minimum standards for the Groups Marketing and Sales strategy.
- Embed the ways of working, through building relevant competence enhancing programs. This includes structured training programs, in-country coaching, mentoring and guidance.
- Work with Group Sales & Marketing Head to develop optimal portfolio design and optimised pricing strategy to drive profitable and sustainable long term growth.
- Champion the Groups brand strategies, including the creation of a purposeful, relevant brand proposition.
- Work with Group Communication Manager to align and amplify brand and corporate brand and purpose where applicable.
- Develop and drive commercially viable domestic and export innovation opportunities identified through consumer insights & owns the innovation roll-out until commitment phase.
- Oversee full packaging development process in conjunction with Group Procurement team to ensure continual operational readiness in-country innovation teams, ownership of all packaging artwork design and compliance across the full business.
- Formulate the marketing communication strategy to meet brand objectives and support countries in delivery of strategy, providing guidance to ensure consistent timeous execution across all relevant channels.
- Identify and oversee domestic service providers involved in brand development process in-country.
- Oversee annual brand health effectiveness scores and translates necessary insights into short / long term action plans.
- Drive benchmarking and continuous improvement analysis to lower cost of product without diminishing brand value.
- Identify, pilot and implement future expanded product portfolio strategy.
