**About the Role**:
We are looking for a highly skilled person able to work in a fast-growing environment in an organised, intelligent way. Most importantly, we are looking for a person who is enthusiastic to be part of the Walkerville Plant team. The Maintenance Intern work involves checking, repairing and servicing machinery, equipment, systems and infrastructures. The Maintenance Intern shall learn how to ensure the industrial machinery and equipment run smoothly and reliably.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Designing maintenance strategies, procedures and methods;
- Carrying out routine scheduled maintenance work and responding to equipment breakdown and faults.
- Diagnosing breakdown problems.
- Performing maintenance and repairs and making sure equipment is working correctly.
- Liaising with suppliers and service specialists.
- Arranging specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components and consumables.
- Controlling maintenance tools, stores and equipment.
- Monitoring and controlling maintenance costs and machine maintenance statistics.
- Dealing with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs on a 24/7 basis.
- Working with specialized equipment, such as PLC controlled optical manufacturing and coating machines.
- Ensure housekeeping and general areas facilitates a tidy, neat environment.

**Who we are looking for**:

- National Diploma / Degree in (Electronics, Electrical or Mechanical)
- Good organizational skills
- Good leadership skills
- Thorough understanding of technical aspects of different types of equipment
