**Job Description**:

- To provide specialist treasury front office services to Anglo American South Africa’s corporate centre and business units through the strategic analysis and execution of these risks.
- Execute financial market dealing for Anglo American and its Southern Africa subsidiaries while ensuring Treasury policy guidelines are adhered to.
- Provide analysis and co-ordinate treasury front office services relating to cash management, liquidity risk, foreign exchange risk and counterparty risk.
- Assist in managing the day to day treasury front office to treasury back office relationship, ensuring robust, efficient and controlled end-to-end processes.
- Support the process of arranging, negotiating and implementing suitable new and refinanced internal and external loan facility agreements to meet the liquidity requirements of Anglo American and its subsidiaries.
- Provide treasury advice and partnership to Group Functions and subsidiaries on the financial management of intercompany funding, guarantees, prepayments, treasury risk management and working capital management as well as other relevant corporate activities and projects.
- Undertake a variety of treasury projects and provide analysis in support of specific Treasury activities (e.g. intercompany loan pricing and documentation, capex hedging analysis, bank guarantee negotiation and execution).
- Collate and prepare concise reports for use by Group Treasury and other Treasury stakeholders (e.g. cash flow forecast).
- Negotiate supporting documentation in relation to Treasury activities (e.g. ISDA’s).
- Monitor counterparty credit risk.
- Drive change in cash management activities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support the negotiation and implementation of guarantee facilities.
- Assist in providing advice to subsidiaries on suitable investment strategies and the management of external asset managers in relation to rehabilitation fund investments.
- Qualifications
- Post graduate degree level education.
- Relevant commercial qualification such as Chartered Accountant, Chartered Financial Analyst or similar.

**Knowledge of**:

- Macroeconomics and understanding of key market drivers.
- Understanding of treasury environment and risk management principles desirable.
- Financial market dealing experience advantageous.
- Understanding of mining industry advantageous
- Financial services experience advantageous
