Tsebo Facilities Solution is looking for Handyman (Grey Water Technician) to provide technical support with regard to reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance and greywater systems on plant and equipment, within the service level requirements.A Greywater Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and management of greywater systems. The primary purpose of a Greywater Technician is to promote sustainable water use by collecting, treating, and reusing greywater from household activities such as laundry, bathing, and dishwashing.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
**Responsibilitys**
- Service and maintenance to Greywater systems
- Undertake Planned Preventative Maintenance Tasks allocated by the Senior Technician.
- Undertake Re-active Maintenance Tasks and Repairs allocated by the Senior Technician.
- Ensure that best Operating Practice is applied when undertaking Maintenance Tasks / Repairs.
- Provide a list of required materials to Senior Technician to enable successful execution of Maintenance Tasks.
- Complete and issue Check Sheets to Senior Technician on a weekly basis.
- Assist in keeping Workshop tidy and presentable

**Tasks related to maintenance, repairs, replacement and installations.**
- System Inspection: Regularly inspecting the entire greywater system to identify any signs of leaks, blockages, or malfunctioning components.
- Filter Cleaning: Cleaning and maintaining filters to remove debris, hair, and other particles that may accumulate in the greywater system and hinder its performance.
- Pump Maintenance: Checking and maintaining the greywater pump to ensure it is functioning properly. This may involve inspecting for wear and tear, lubricating moving parts, and addressing any issues with the pump.
- Irrigation Check: Verifying the proper functioning of the greywater irrigation or distribution system, including inspecting pipes, drip lines, or other delivery methods for clogs or damage.
- Treatment System Maintenance: If applicable, maintaining any treatment components of the greywater system, such as filters, UV sterilizers, or other treatment devices, to ensure water quality meets safety standards.
- Adjusting pH Levels: Monitoring and adjusting the pH levels of the greywater to ensure it is within an acceptable range for safe and effective use in irrigation.
- Educating Users: Providing education to users on proper greywater usage and practices to avoid introducing harmful substances into the greywater system.
- Compliance Checks: Ensuring that the greywater system complies with local regulations and standards, and making any necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.
- System Upgrades: Recommending and implementing upgrades or modifications to the greywater system to enhance efficiency, water quality, and overall performance.
- Emergency Repairs: Addressing any emergency repairs promptly to prevent system failures and minimize potential damage to the greywater infrastructure.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, and any issues encountered to track the system's performance over time.
- Plumbing Repairs: Fixing leaks, replacing faucets, unclogging drains, repairing or replacing pipes.
- Electrical Work: Replacing lights.
- Carpentry: Repairing or installing cabinets, shelves, doors, windows, and trim work; building or repairing furniture; fixing or replacing damaged woodwork.
- Flooring: Installing or repairing laminate, vinyl, or tile flooring; repairing or replacing damaged floorboards; carpet installation or repairs.
- General Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as replacing filters, lubricating hinges, tightening screws, and checking for safety hazards.
- Shelving and Storage: Building and installing shelves, organizing storage spaces, installing hooks or racks.
- Exterior Maintenance: Cleaning gutters, power washing surfaces, repairing fences or gates, maintaining outdoor structures.
- Assembly: Putting together furniture, equipment, or other items that require assembly.
- Miscellaneous Repairs: Handling various small repairs, such as fixing leaky faucets, squeaky hinges, loose doorknobs, or wobbly furniture.
- Transportation of fellow employees
- Four work orders per day on average
