**Job Purpose**
- To provide high quality risk analysis and reporting in an efficient and effective way while ensuring that Balance Sheet Management (BSM) risk taking is within the ALCO & Board approved risk appetite, in line with the business strategy.**Responsibilities**:

- Modelling various risks using a fully integrated BSM solution which is designed to produce detailed risk management reports across all the different risk disciplines within Balance Sheet Management Division, adhering to risk data aggregation and risk reporting (RDARR) requirements while moving towards consolidated risk reporting covering both the domestic and foreign operations.Outputs are listed below:
- Monthly maintenance and preparation of the BSM models for the month-end runs.
- Preparation and analysis of the monthly data inputs to be used in the BSM solution calculation engine.
- Collaboration with the Data Management Officer (DMO) in order to investigate and close out data gaps.
- Build robust data quality checks to increase data accuracy.
- Production of the monthly risk results for the various BSM risk disciplines.
- Analysis and reviewing of the monthly results calculated from the BSM solution to ensure that risk numbers produced are accurate and reasonable.
- Preparation of the Monthly Report Packs for the different entities and the regulatory reports.
- Continuous enhancement of the BSM solution and processes to ensure robust risk management and world class risk reporting.
- To assist risk owners with enhancement of assumptions, queries and new developments that are required on an ongoing basis.
- To assist with the audit process and queries to ensure clean audit reports.
- To do Back Testing of results.
- To assist with the development and roll-out of a fully integrated BSM solution, designed to produce detailed risk management reports across all the different risk disciplines within the Balance Sheet Management Division, while meeting risk data requirements and the need to move towards aggregated and consolidated risk reporting covering both the domestic and foreign operations.
- Maintain and build on existing client relationships through regular communication with all stakeholders.
- Essential Qualifications - NQF Level- Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
- Professional Qualifications/Honour’s Degree
- Preferred QualificationChartered Accountant CA (SA), BCom or BSc degree with financial & risk management, examples:

- Financial Management Sciences
- Economics with Risk management
- Investment Management
- Quantitative Finance
- Quantitative Risk Management
- Financial Risk Management (FRM)
- Preferred Certifications- Minimum Experience Level- Years of experience: at least 2 or more years of experience within a risk environment in the banking industry, ideally in a balance sheet management role with liquidity risk management, Interest rate risk and or ALM modelling exposure.**Technical / Professional Knowledge**
