I.t Manager

Are you an experienced Senior technician / Engineer seeking a career with a reputable IT services business.

In this role you will manage essential company infrastructure, both hands on and managing service providers to ensure continuity of operations.

Your broad depth of knowledge, ranging from end user computing through to servers, networks and firewalls will stand you in good stead for risk management, troubleshooting and solving issues.

You are a good communicator, able to deal with staff, management and customers.

**Objectives of this role**
- Take responsibility for projects and solutions within the larger business initiative
- Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems administration
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware, and software
- Track and maintain hardware and software inventory

**Key Responsibilities**
- System Administration:
Lead and manage the complete lifecycle of IT systems, ensuring optimal performance, and implementing upgrades seamlessly.
- Network Infrastructure:
Architect, implement, and maintain a state-of-the-art network infrastructure, providing reliable connectivity for our dynamic operations.
- Cybersecurity:
Be our cybersecurity guardian, developing and implementing robust security measures to protect against evolving threats.
- IT Strategy:
Drive IT strategy discussions, aligning technological initiatives with business goals, and ensuring a cohesive and efficient IT ecosystem.
- Troubleshooting:
Showcase your problem-solving skills, swiftly resolving complex technical issues to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Collaboration:
Foster collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring that IT solutions integrate seamlessly into our broader business framework.

**Pre-requisites**
- Five or more years of experience in I.T management
- Good knowledge of programming languages and operating systems
- Knowledge of current equipment and technology, enterprise backup, recovery procedures and system performance monitoring
- Expertise in implementing, configuring and testing IT solutions
- You should be an excellent communicator as you will be dealing with management, executives, warehouse staff, sales, suppliers and more.
- Own car is essential
- Tech Savvy, able to adapt to new systems
- Willing to travel if required
