**ROLE PURPOSE**
- Assist the Infrastructure Demand Consultants by acquiring infrastructure low level details for proposed new builds and existing servers. This includes and is not limited to physical and virtual servers, scale out and scale up, cloud infrastructure and PaaS deployments.
- Attend project meetings relating to infrastructure demand requests where needed
- Manage the logging and deployment of the agreed infrastructure within SLAs
- Transcribe the work scoped to build templates for the infrastructure support teams based on design best practices
- Coordinate physical server datacentre installations: connectivity and ILO
- Coordinate to resolve any CMDB inaccuracies
- Oversee security and compliancy sign off for all deployed infrastructure.

**ROLE REQUIREMENT**
- Contribute to continuous improvement and the adoption of best practices
- Proactively provide technical guidance with server build requests.

**TECHNICAL / PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES**
- Experience in Linux (preferred) or Windows Server architecture for both Virtual and Physical servers. (essential)
- Experience in AWS and Openshift PaaS (advantageous)
- Understanding of Data Centres and SAN technologies (advantages)
- ITIL Foundation Level. (advantageous)
- Experience in Excel and other related Microsoft Office products (essential)
- Experience in an incident/problem/change and configuration management. (essential)

**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE**
- Grade 12 with Mathematics & Science (preferred)
- Tertiary qualification or certification in IT technical field (Essential)
- ITIL Foundation certified (Advantageous)
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in computer science, information systems or a related study.( Advantageous)
- AWS Cloud exposure (Advantageous)
