A fast-growing group of companies operating in the Fleet Management and Hotel and Leisure industries are seeking to employ an OHS Administrator to assist the OHS Manager.

The job will entail:

- Monitors adherence to OHS policies, procedures, standards and protocols according to legislation
- Participates in OHS Committee and representative meetings
- Provides technical advice with regards to OHS compliance
- Conducts health and safety awareness training to employees
- Implements practical and effective methods, both preventative and remedial, to promote health and safety and safe working practices in the workplace
- Conducts investigations into health and safety incidents and accidents
- Conducts desktop and onsite risk assessments to determine baseline risk assessments
- Conducts comprehensive physical site inspections to monitor the use of safe working and housekeeping procedures, the condition of safety equipment and protective personal equipment (PPE)
- Conducts safety risks audits and assessments of allocated sites
- Supports first aid and fire safety representatives for all sites
- Implements control measures and reports on the standards and utilisation of PPE issued to employees
- Identifies and recommends training interventions
- Inspects / audits safety files at the depots
- Ensure that all equipment meets regulatory guidelines and trains employees on safe methods of operating equipment
- Implements loss prevention and risk reduction protocols
- Compiles and submits comprehensive daily, weekly and monthly reports of all OHS-related issues
- Maintains accurate records of inspections and audits conducted and risk assessments
- Identifies OHS implementation trends and issues and makes recommendations and makes recommendations for refresher training initiatives
- Escalates unresolved OHS issues to the Group OHS, Security and Safety Manager for action and resolution
- Coordinates employees’ medical examinations
- Reviews and follows up on medical reports
- Provide statistics regarding safety inspections, health and safety incidents

**Requirements**:
SAMTRAC / National Diploma in Safety Management

3-5 years in a similiar job

Driver's Licence

Sound knowledge of the OHS Act

Training:
Incident Investigator Certificate

Risk Assessor Certificate

Pay: R20 000,00 - R25 000,00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Midrand, Gauteng: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- OHS working: 3 years (required)

License/Certification:

- Driver's Licence (required)
- SAMTRAC (required)
- Incident Investigator certificate (required)
- Risk Assessor certificate (required)
