**Main purpose of the job**:

- To effectively coordinate the Debtors Department

**Location**:

- **Parktown - Johannesburg**

**Key performance areas**:

- Supervise Debtors department processing_
- Ensure adherence to systems, procedures, and policies, including accounts receivable functions to company guidelines and address any risks identified
- Ensure effective monitoring of deposit account and follow procedures to transfer funds
- Provides accounting assistance to grant managers and operations staff; responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs
- Acts as a liaison between the grants, customers, and auditors to meet information needs and to ensure that proper information is maintained for historical purposes
- Devise and maintain a manual filing and storage system as required per WHC policies and procedures
- Comply with Foreign Exchange requirements for foreign payments received and the accurate reporting thereof per IFRS as well as grant requirements
- Attend all staffing administration
- Manage staff to ensure optimal utilization
- Staff supervision_
- Manage HR-related issues i.e. performance management, timesheets, etc.
- Facilitate performance appraisals
- Mentor team members to ensure appropriate knowledge and skills
- Assist staff with queries and redirect if necessary

**Required minimum education and training**:

- **Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree**

**Required minimum work experience**:

- **3 years of Management Experience**

**Desirable additional education, work experience, and personal abilities**:

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional organization and administrative skills
- Sound financial and business acumen
- Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills with advanced Excel skills
- Experience working with IFRS and accounting software
- Knowledge of relevant legislation - The National Credit Act would be advantageous
- Working overtime may be required from time to time
- Able to travel to visit sites as and when required
