Maintenance Planner

Assist with compiling maintenance budget for approval
- Monitor and control maintenance spending against budget
- Raise PO requisition and place orders for maintenance spares
- Check invoices for submission and ensure that suppliers for maintenance are paid on time monthly
- Ensure cost effective maintenance. Identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions
- Identify critical spares and tools and ensure upkeep
- Participate in plant risk assessment and SHEQ initiatives
- Issuing of maintenance clearance certificates and ensure that work is carried out to AECI standards
- Coordinate root cause analysis
- Compile Periodic reports (losses, Cost, breakdown analysis)
- Inputs and maintains the engineering master data on SAP PM
- Participate and motivate subordinates to maintain all SHEQ standards
- Ensure that non-conformance issues are closed out timeously
- Occasionally participate in audits done for SHEQ system
- Required to adhere to all company and work site safety rules and regulations
- Reporting and Process Safety Incidents
- Initiate MOC - Management of Change

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Minimum educational requirement Grade 12
- Post matric qualification of a NQF Level 6 - National Diploma in Mechanical /Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years’ work experience in the production, workshop, plant maintenance and mechanical/electrical industry
- Experience working in a planning capacity will be advantageous
- Must be computer literate MS Office (Word/Excel and Outlook)
- Good technical acumen and be able to solve problems systematically
- Possess basic knowledge of the OHS ACT
